Dave Helfer, CPA
President & Owner
Dave has
been a certified public accountant for 24 years, providing tax and
accounting services and consulting to hundreds of corporate and
individual clients. Dave began his career by working
for 8 years for Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Chicago, in both audit and
tax. During that time he also co-managed PwC's U.S. Expatriate Tax
office in Paris, France for 3 years.
After leaving PwC Dave worked for
6 years for Oprah Winfrey/Harpo Inc. as in-house CPA & Special Projects Manager. He also worked for several CPA firms in the Boston area and
was the controller for a Boston-based software company. Immediately prior to starting his own firm, Dave was the Senior Tax Manager at an
Atlanta CPA firm.
Besides
his business endeavors, Dave earned a Masters in Theology from Trinity
International University and helped start two churches in New England.
Dave's community work includes working with organizations such as:
Chicago Industrial League, Hope For Haiti, Rotarians, Habitat for
Humanity, Our Father’s House, and Good News At Noon. Dave is also a
member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA), Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and the Buford Business Alliance (BBA).
